Lego Castle

A long, long time ago, before I’d grown up, I had a lego castle. It had knights, bowmen, and spearmen and it was a lot of fun. Luckily for me, I still have all the pieces. Ladies and gentlemen, I present you with an accent lego castle.

On a good day the draw bridge is down and the horses are feeding in the field. But the guards stand ready.

There is a spearman at the gate. Today there are no baddies so he is very happy.

The archers are in the towers ready to defend it against any threat. They’re quite happy too.

But at the first sign of a threat, the drawbridge is up and the guards are ready to do their duty. Unfortunately there wasn’t time to get the horses in, so they’ll just keep on eating. Hopefully the baddies will leave them alone.

Can anyone take the castle?

Finn and I had a great time playing with what is a very old lego set. It was great to see him role playing the defence of the castle and really being a part of the action.

So much so that I’m even considering getting some new lego castle sets. Like this one…
